New policy changes for:

 Objective: To prevent managers, supervisors, staff and faculty from projecting negative energy and attitudes on each other and in addition to in the work environment.

 Mission: Ignorance is expensive has a harassment policy to protect workers from working in an environment that is uncomfortable.

             The following behavior must be adhered to:

 Every individual will be treated with respect regardless of the situation, which will include:

             -Disciplinary action

            -Diversity (misunderstanding)

            -Failure to complete tasks in a timely manner

            -Frequently being late

 We are all adults and will be treated properly!

There will be no personal grudges and retaliation against co-workers and mediation will be used to keep the work environment peaceful and neutral. If the issue cannot be resolved additional training and transfers will be the solution.

 Tuition assistance provided by IIC,LLC and Sponsors:
 
There are two new types of tuition assistance programs at IIE,LLC:
 
The first one is called reimbursement:
This is available when an employee meets the following criteria:


1. If pursuing credits for a promotion: a Grade Point Average of 2.5 is required to receive reimbursement.
2. If pursuing a degree: a Grade Point Average of 3.0 is required to received reimbursement.
 
The second one is a scholarship:

To be eligible for this you will have to work with sponsors of the organization:
The requirements involves creating ideas that will increase clientele or reduce operational cost.

If the idea provided by the individual increase clientele the individual's educational institution will receive funds for (6) credits per semester for every (6) months the client remains with the organization.

If the idea used to reduce operational cost is successful the individual's institution will receive funds that are 1/2 of what the amount of the reduction is.

Building Evacuation procedure:
 Ignorance is expensive, LLC Evacuation Procedures
When the alarm sounds followed by an announcement to validate the drill or emergency:

                                                   All Occupants should:

      1.      Do not panic and remain calm,

2.      Know where the gathering area is for the particular floor you are on,

3.      Avoid the elevators and be prepared to use alternative methods and routes to evacuate,

4.      Wait for instructions from the fire warden and building safety director,

 If required to exit the premises proceed to the exits listed below:

Left side: west 125th street and Broadway,

Right side: west 125th street and Amsterdam

Evacuate to the street and cross over to clear the exits and get everyone to a safety zone, in addition this will allow the emergency service personnel easy access to the building. Please be patient the Fire Warden and the building Safety Director will instruct every one of what to do next.

Ordering process for office supplies:
 
 
Ordering process for the office supplies will only be done with a manufacturing and vendor company that meet the following criteria:

1. They must have some form of rewards program for loyalty,
2. The option to invest or buy the business,
3. Have a well-rounded refund policy, replacement, warranty and insurance policy,

-Each department must send a request for what supplies are needed via (SSC) Single-Stage Control program (Sullivan, 2011, pp. 244).

-The SSC program keeps track of the distribution of supplies, to know what new supplies to order, in addition to when and what inventory is received.

- An account is connected to the SSC program that make the payment to the vendor and is released when inventory is uploaded into the system by the vendor.

- At all times there will be a IT personnel available for any system glitches, in addition to an accountant to make sure all numbers are correct through out the process.

Leadership roles:
New CEO:

Today the organization would like to welcome the new CEO of Ignorance iz Expensive Ms. Nzinga, Nhile.
          She is one of the best at what she does and is looking forward to working with everyone. The following information is being requested by her:
  •  She would like to receive every one's contact information work and cell phone via email, in addition to
  • a one paragraph introduction via email: ignoranceisexpensive@yahoo.com,
  • She is having a mixer for all employees in the conference room area date: TBA
  • She will conduct monthly meetings every second Friday of the month,
  • There will be an additional meeting held this Friday to cover some formalities and inquire about the traditions, the culture of this workplace, any concerns, what would the employees like to see changed and remain the same, how did the last CEO run the environment and what are the thoughts the employees had concerning the last CEO.    


Restructuring of a department:

Every one should know by now that because of the change in leadership roles the departments will be under a follower styled leadership called participative leadership: This leadership according to Maslennikova (2007) relies on the abilities, knowledge and feedback of the entire team (Para. 12).

Please be prepared to:
  • Work as an independent,
  • Have questions prepared to gain comprehensive understanding to complete tasks and assignments, 
  • Answer some questions for fellow co-workers because of prior experience,
  • Attend weekly meetings,
  • Have ideas for the betterment of the organization by increasing profit and reducing operational cost,
  • produce monthly reports, future projectiles, and trends that will assist the organization with succeeding in the competitive nonprofit market.
